Online therapy for women in NYC, Westchester and Long Island

Helping you manage your most important relationships.

Life at home is just not what you want it to be. What if someone could help you feel less reactive?

You dreamed about what your life would look like as an adult. Finding a partner, having your own family, and the type of friendships and community you’d have.

Now you’re married, or about to be married. Maybe you’re expecting or have young children, and on the surface things are going well. But inside you’re feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and hopeless that things can change.

  • You’re irritated by what your partner does and doesn’t do

  • Sometimes you sound just like your parents on their worst day

  • It never feels like you have enough support from family and friends

You can feel more satisfied in your relationships. And it starts with your self-esteem.

When we learn to disconnect from our emotional pain we recreate it with the people closest to us

I don’t come from a particularly challenging background either. But there were times when I needed more from the people around us. There still are. And every time I work through these pain points in therapy, I become a stronger partner and mother.

For fifteen years I’ve helped women traverse the highs and lows of dating, marriage, parenthood, family, and friendship. When you carve out time to figure out how you actually feel around the people you love, you’re less preoccupied. And you’re more emotionally available to them, in ways that respect your needs.

We’ll unpack all those annoying comments that get swept under the rug. We’ll figure out why that look really got to you. We’ll learn all there is to know about the very first time you felt that way. I’ll catch what your best friend misses, and I’ll hear what your mom just can’t.

What a relief to accept that this stuff does matter! You’ll feel so much better knowing that thing that happened forever ago actually was a big deal. You can tune in to your life instead of tuning into Netflix. And when your kids drive you nuts you won’t be melting down with them.

Talking about your difficult experiences in therapy can help you…

  • Improve communication with your partner

  • Feel less triggered by your kids

  • Develop realistic expectations of your family and friends

  • Tolerate changes in relationships

  • Appreciate intergenerational influences on your experience
